What moves the price
For transistor, the drivers are material, thickness, finish, hole pattern, load rating, tray compatibility, microvia count, laser drill size — the spec them differently and the same item lands at either end of the band.

Lead times vary widely, but distributor bulk reels commonly show several weeks when stock is not immediate, while factory-direct offers may quote only a few days for common parts
