What moves the price
For liquid concentrate, the drivers are fuel compatibility, shelf life, cold-weather performance, burn cleanliness, pack size, solvent strength, lubricant compatibility, corrosion inhibition — the spec them differently and the same item lands at either end of the band.
Pricing is driven most by formulation load and packing spec: flavor system complexity, sugar/Brix, electrolyte dosage, caffeine, and whether the quote includes custom print/labeling or a plain bulk fill. Realistic supplier routes are private-label beverage copackers and flavor/concentrate manufacturers; public web pricing for close analogs shows concentrates sold in small-pack wholesale and in drums at much lower unit costs, but exact sports-drink concentrate quotes are usually RFQ-only and vary sharply by recipe and minimum order. Landed-equivalent pricing from import or food-ingredient distributors is plausible for the larger tiers, while the smallest tiers are more consistent with custom small-batch domestic packers
