What moves the price
For led, the drivers are material, thickness, finish, hole pattern, load rating, tray compatibility, microvia count, laser drill size — the spec them differently and the same item lands at either end of the band.
For discrete LEDs, the published factory pricing is driven mainly by package type (SMD versus through-hole), power/brightness bin, color, and whether the part is standard catalog stock or custom-binned/printed.
