What moves the price
For fork, the drivers are material, bowl shape, finish, handle length, custom logo or engraving, weight grade, disposability, wrapped/unwrapped — the spec them differently and the same item lands at either end of the band.
Published wholesale pricing for plastic forks shows a real U.S.-facing reference point at about $0.049–$0.054 per fork at 1,000-count case levels, with bulk suppliers and foodservice distributors listing similar low-cost disposable forks by the case. For a mid-range custom-printed fork, the main cost drivers are material grade, finish, weight/handle design, and especially customization setup such as logo printing or engraving; those features usually move the price more than order size once tooling is fixed. The most realistic routes are foodservice distributors for private-label disposable forks, or overseas trade suppliers/importers for molded custom plastic flatware; the same published market also shows very low per-unit pricing for generic bulk plastic forks from wholesale sellers
